Our team is small in size and exceptional in delivery.
You’re in the right place if:
You’re just starting the boarding school search process for your quirky, blue-haired, trombone player who’s dyslexic and needs advanced physics;
Your teen is in the middle of a mental health crisis and won’t leave their room and is is refusing to go to school;
Your teen or young adult is smoking too much weed or seems addicted to their technology;
You feel like you’ve tried everything to help your child on the spectrum navigate school and life and you’re completely spent;
Or, your young adult child has tried and failed college, can’t keep a job, and still remains dependent on you.
We’re here to filter through the noise and pinpoint the educational and therapeutic opportunities that are right for you.
We wake up every day to help families like yours … one conversation at a time.
I’m Rebekah Jordan,
the co-owner and founding consultant of Crossbridge, and passionate problem-solver. Over the past 25 years in education, I’ve been a teacher, head of school, tutor, division head, consultant, board member, and advisor. Along the way, I’ve helped close to a thousand students and families just like you find creative solutions to educational problems.
My favorite students to work with are the ones with something “fun” in their profile, whether that’s a healthy dose of anxiety, dyslexia, neurodivergence (high-five to my ADHD kids), depression, or other mental health challenges.
Prior to Crossbridge, one of my proudest educational creations was The Peak School in Frisco, Colorado. With an incredible team of parents and teachers, we created a space for students who learn differently or just wanted to break the mold of “traditional” school. Peak is still out there today and our first class of high school graduates is now in their early twenties – out there changing the world as software engineers, epidemiologists, law students, musicians, and more.
That’s my goal for every family I work with:
No matter what path your child is on when we first connect, I want them to leave our work together knowing themselves better as learners and humans, and to be in a place that is the right one for them.
I’m Jennifer Benson,
co-owner of Crossbridge, and a mental health clinician.
I focus on helping young people rediscover their strengths, which may have been overshadowed by emotional struggles, chemical or technology dependencies, and social and learning challenges. All of my clients have some kind of struggle that they need support navigating, whether it be mild anxiety to THC induced psychosis. I guide my clients towards healing and growth.
My approach is shaped by both my professional training and personal experience. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and completed my practicum at the Yale Child Study Center. As a social worker and a parent whose children required a range of learning and therapeutic services, including residential care, I’m especially equipped to support families navigating challenges with their adolescent or young adult child.
I too was once overwhelmed and confused by how best to manage my “out-of-control” and hurting child and thus bring understanding and empathy to my work with parents and young adults. I know first-hand how scary it is to send a child to a nature-based therapy program and residential care.
I treat each client as if they were my child, and I provide placement recommendations that I would feel comfortable making for my own family. I have visited the programs that I’ve recommended, know their clinical teams, reviewed their safety protocols, and inspected their facilities.
Before consulting, I worked in communications and advancement for independent schools. I live in Weston, CT in a multi-generational, blended family that includes two yappy, and poorly behaved miniature dachshunds.
Rebekah and Jennifer are professional members of the Independent Education Consultants Association, Therapeutic Consulting Association. and the Young Adult Transition Association.
Our small but mighty team each brings their own talents to the table to help make sure your experience is smooth and that no stone is left unturned –
you get personal attention every step of the way.
